Our story

Small by design, careful by nature

Antique Finds is a small, independent antiques business with a fascination for objects that have passed through many hands: engraved seals once pressed into wax and clay, bronze rings worn smooth by generations, and the curiosities in between.

We buy in small numbers from auctions, house clearances, private collections and fellow dealers. We look for honest pieces with character: finely engraved stones, early metalwork, and every so often something truly exceptional.

Because we're small, every piece gets proper attention. We research it, photograph it ourselves, measure it, and write a condition report we'd want to read if we were buying. If we don't know something for certain, we'll tell you.

Delivery, returns & offers

How is my piece delivered?
Smaller items are hand-packed in acid-free tissue and double-walled boxes and sent by tracked, signed-for, fully insured courier, usually within 2 working days of payment. Furniture and large pieces travel with a specialist fine-art courier, quoted individually. UK delivery is free on orders over £150.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Choose "International delivery" at checkout and we'll email you a fully insured shipping quote before any payment is taken. Please note that import duties and taxes may be payable on arrival.
Can I collect in person?
Of course. Choose "Collection by appointment" at checkout and we'll arrange a convenient time. You're also welcome to view a piece before buying. Just get in touch.
How does "Make an offer" work?
On any piece, click "Make an offer" next to the price, enter your offer and your email, and send it. We'll reply personally within 48 hours (usually much sooner) to accept, decline or suggest a counter-offer. If accepted, we'll email you a secure link to pay at the agreed price. Offers are not binding until payment is made, and the piece remains available to others until then.
What is your returns policy?
You may return any piece within 14 days of delivery for a full refund of the item price. Please contact us first; the item must be returned in the same condition, well packed and insured. Return postage is the buyer's responsibility unless the piece was not as described, in which case we'll cover it.
Are your descriptions guaranteed?
Yes. We describe every piece honestly and to the best of our knowledge. Terms like "circa" and "in the style of" are used deliberately where certainty isn't possible. If anything turns out not to be as described, you'll receive a full refund.
Can you find something specific for me?
We're happy to keep an eye out. Tell us what you're looking for (a particular pattern, maker or type of piece) and we'll let you know if we come across it.
Do you buy antiques?
Yes. We're always interested in good-quality English ceramics, brass and metalware, folk art and decorative furniture. Send us a few photographs and a description and we'll get back to you.
